The latest craze in the world of RC hobbyists today is the RC helicopter. With the advancement in technology, state of the art and more modern RC helicopters have been introduced in the market today to further capture the imaginations of helicopter enthusiasts all over the world. With more features and flying capabilities, toy helicopters look and feel more real making it more exciting and awesome to play. RC helicopters come in various sizes and features and depending on your budget, you can either choose between the more advanced gas-powered helicopter or the simpler and easy to operate electric RC helicopters. The size of the RC helicopter matters a lot in determining the type of fuel it uses. Typically, smaller and miniature helicopters are electrically powered, more often by a rechargeable battery because it has a smaller engine. Larger RC helicopter scale are often gas-powered because of its size and weight which requires a lot of lifting force which cannot be supplied by batteries alone. Most of the time, the fuel used on these are the same as the one you use on your lawnmower and it has more features and aerial capabilities as compared to electric helicopters. Electric RC helicopters are less expensive compared to gas driven helicopters. Although they are limited in terms of features and flying capacity, electric RC are much simpler to operate and you dont need an experience in flying RC helicopters before you can fly this toy. This is ideal for beginners before they decide using the much larger, gas powered RC helicopters. Also consider buying extra accessories for your RC helicopter for you to enjoy its potential especially if you are buying a larger scale helicopter. Radio controllers for better performance and much longer distance range are sold separately and you can also consider using alloy rotor blades for better performance and lifting power aside from the fact that your RC helicopter will have a more authentic look than using plastic blades. |
